A historic vertical tasting of Commander Lino Maga’s Barbacarlo and Montebuono, April 9 in Cerea

For the first time ever at ViniVeri, a true “unicorn wine” experience: Saturday, April 9, 3:00 p.m., Sandro Sangiorgi (Porthos) will lead a guided tasting of Barbacarlo and Montebuono by the legendary winemaker from the hills of Broni, Lino Maga. He will be joined by Jeremy Parzen.

Widely considered benchmarks in Oltrepò Pavese, the wines were first produced in 1886 and are known for their “consistent differences” from vintage to vintage, a reflection of Lino Maga’s natural production processes and his tenacious passion.

The flight of Barbarcarlo will feature the following vintages: 1983, 1989, 1999, 2007, 2010, and 2011.

The Montebuono flight: 1982, 2010 and 2011.

The tasting will be held in the tasting room at the Fabbrica exhibition space in Cerea.
